Register or Login to view.Davidsch I've been looking outside Europe since the beginning of 2008. In fact, one of the very first places I looked was Thailand (followed by other areas of southeast Asia, the Ivory coast, North America, and Turkey, and pretty much everywhere else) due to some properties of the text and some specifics I saw in some of the illustrations. I didn't publish or post for the first few years because I was hoping to solve the VMS without giving away all my hard-won research. There may be others like me who have been hunting worldwide without necessarily revealing it on the Net. I don't think we should assume there's been no interest outside the 15th century or outside central Europe just because a certain number of people focused their attention on central Europe or because some researchers felt the underlying text might be in the Latin language. I spent a long time researching the possible use of Latin and Greek in the text as well—it would be foolish not to and maybe Davidsch can spot something others have missed. As for comparative letter forms, I have a several-month's-old blog mostly written that illustrates the letter origins, a percentage of which are derived from Greek. I can't finish it until I'm done with work, but I'll try to get it posted this weekend. RE: Graecofile experience - Davidsch - 07-01-2017 The Greek language is a true treasure of information. Found some good text and this site is highy recommended because of the many links: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. And I forgot to mention the inexhaustible source Perseus (also for Latinists a.o.): You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. |
