I just want to say that although I am not convinced that the VMS is an encrypted book of enoch, I do seriously appreciate the consistent comparisons of imagery between genuine ethiopian illustrations with those in the VMS. If possible, I would greatly appreciate a link to the exact sources of these images when you can. Or alternatively a manuscript title or folio number. It's important for discussing the likelihood of a connection with the VMS and the validity of your claims.

This happens to be relevant, as that specific illustration/manuscript is dated (by gallica) to between 1600-1799AD.

It is notable that none of the other manuscripts depict the leper as seemingly contained in something; they tend to simply show them in robes.

Being 300 years younger, this has clearly nothing to do with VMS.
You made a „clever cut“ and left out the lower part of lepra bishop‘s clothing to give the impression of a „tub“ upper part — in full sight, it is clearly a coat or something.
All other ethiopian comparisons show not any similarities, the african sources are again at least 200 years younger than VMS.
So what is this all about?

This will soon become clear, there are more explanations, just like with the lost book of Enoch. At the beginning of 2026 it was claimed here that it could not have been known at that time and today I have already listed several sources of information that admit that it could have been available. Another answer is that it is necessary to revise the current date of origin of the VM. And another possibility is that this picture is not the only one. Many manuscripts are still in private collections. I recently discovered at auction the first and second books of Enoch in the Ethiopian language from 1450. You are very quickly done with everything and that is a shame.

I am not done with everything, I am simply trying to validate what you are claiming and checking whether it makes sense. In order for this to be discussed, there needs to be a clear idea of what your theory is. The issue currently is that there isn't a coherent/consistent view for where, when and how the VMS can be the book of enoch. If you are claiming that the "bathtub" in the ethiopian manuscript is the same as what is depicted in the VMS, you have to also explain how that can reasonably be the case.
Perhaps the 1700AD example is a copy from an older book from the 15th century, but there is no evidence of that. Perhaps the VMS was a far later copy of the 1700AD image, which means that you need a plausible story that explains why 15th century parchment was used in the 18th century.
Just like every other theory on this forum, these types of questions aren't meant to disprove your theory, but to actually clarify it (if you have the answers). If you currently do not know the answer yet, that is completely fine, but in that case it would be wiser to bring up the possibility of a connection instead of stating that they are connected.

I might regret wading into this, but is the match here based on something besides the purported similarity of the art? Set aside if it is a good identification; I'm asking if there are confirmatory lines of evidence.
