This could be a phallus.
oleoedar - scrotum
saroral - testicle
If that’s the case, then perhaps the nymphs can also represent certain organs or disguise them.

Are you saying that nymph represents a testicle?

Perhaps yes, perhaps no.
One way or another, this nymph is signed at the top. If it were just a decoration, there would be no need for this.

Why not the You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. plus the tongue (on which the nymph is standing)? The problem with this kind of exercise is that once you assume the drawings represent organs then you're going to find similarities to organs, while if you assume the drawings represent scenes from the book of Enoch then you will find similarities with scenes from the book of Enoch. The title of this thread should be changed to make clear we actually do not know if there is any 'anatomy' in the Voynich. As it stands, it's misleading.

if it's a phallus with emissions (bottom left), then I don't quite understand how the angles work...

What do you mean by “angles”?

RE: Voynich's anatomy - Koen G - 16-08-2026

That the supposedly erect member is pointing the wrong way compared to the supposed scrotum. Like, I can't picture a way this could work.

First of all, I don’t deny your comparison. But then it’s unclear why the language is depicted in this way and why something is emanating from it. It’s also unclear what the nymph signifies in this case.
Secondly, Radimir, in his thread, considers all comparisons with the Book of Enoch to be absolutely true. I’m not saying that anatomy is the only correct interpretation of this section.

I wouldn’t say he’s erect.

The unnaturally long scrotum can be explained by the fact that the artist stretched it deliberately in order to depict the nymph.

Although the two small reservoirs don’t look exactly like kidneys, they can be identified because they are located above the bladder.
Then you’d have your mouth at the top, then a larynx, a stomach, and so on.

By the way, there are stylistic similarities between the top part and the “mouth.”
