It sounds like you sold the book as a manuscript rather than proposal; is 2.5 years from acquisition to publication typical in that case? I'm finding this fascinating as a fiction author. My last novel took 14 months from acquisition to hitting the shelves, but of course there were no pictures so no need to go back and forth with layout.

Schiffer Publishing sent us layout v4 of Voynich Reconsidered for final revisions and indexing. Sent index and final revisions to Schiffer today. Publication scheduled for summer 2024.
