Dee used Greek symbols, but it doesn't mean he invented them. Lots of people used them.
The same with stars...
If he used the Star of Ishtar and the VMS authors used various kinds of stars, it's because stars have a long symbolic history and Dee was trying to communicate with angels who live in "the stars".
Are you saying that there is a connection between Dee and the VMS because both of them include stars?
