To correct that, just switch to the raw mode, cut your reply and paste it after the closing quote tag. (You can edit your posts by using the "edit" button located below your posts).

When you are in the "what you see is what you get" mode, the stuff that you quote is shown within a thin grey frame. Your reply should be typed below that frame, not within it.

Even better, instead of quoting just type a reply right away, or if there are several people, just address them by name. It's beter for our scroll wheel

Siddano and stellar, you don't have to requote the entire message.

Just requote the parts to which you are responding. You can delete the rest (or delete all of it if the context is obvious). Or, you can select New Post instead of Reply if you don't need to quote anything.

This is turning into the forum version of the irrelevant email message that bounces around because everyone uses the "reply to all" feature..... thread locked!
