I think there's a possibility that some of the nymphs (if you can call a clothed woman a nymph) in the colored zodiac wheel might represent real people.

Also, kind of weird to make us feel bad from your high horse in the first post and start participating in the next.

The abilities of the artist were discussed properly in another thread just few days ago. There is nothing in you original post that references the artist's abilities. My 'participation post' is trying to point to unfortunate dis-balance of your thread - a contest to find the 'ugliest' woman while the guys get a pass Smile   The male characters in the VMs are often overlooked and bundled under the 'nymphs' term. Some of the human figures in the VMs are women (many of them are dressed) and some are men (some of them are naked). The VMs crowd is much more complex than the term 'nymphs'.

What I saw as a horrible cranial deformation might just be a lock of hair. This is against the MUNE rules, and I will have to disqualify my own submission. I shall replace her with this lady:

I must say that already I learned more from this thread than expected  Big Grin
Note that the feature that you find unpleasant on this image seems to be added by the so called 'dark scribe' (who may or may not have been the author himself) - there are many touch ups made with darker ink over the human figures.

Are you looking at me? If you found my hairpiece please call me on 800-1234

High forehead was a standard for beauty in the 15th century. Many noble women had to shave their hairline to achieve that look.

Looks more like Diogenes emerging blearily after a heavy night.... Big Grin

Not impossible. The most likely candidate for bearded lady to be depicted in 15th century manuscript would be St Wilgefortis. Her feast day is July 20 now - I am not sure when was she celebrated 600 years ago.
