I don't know if anyone else has attached the same meaning to this symbol of the Rosettes section?  The artist made sure the symbol would stand out.  Apparently this symbol with 90 degrees or forty five degrees with 3 circles has been around since the 12th century for aqua vitae.  There is You are not allowed to view links. Many alchemy symbols were invented in the 17th century, this one in particular is found in the Table of Chymicall & Philosophical Characters of Basil Valentine's The Last Will and Testament, 1670 edition.

The same symbol was used by different authors to represent different things:

Quote:An exactly similar triangular symbol with three balls strung on it occurs frequently among the star spells of Picatrix, and was used by alchemists to mean arsenic, orpiment, or potash (Gessman 1922, Tables IV, XXXXIII, XXXXV).
— Mary D'Imperio, The Voynich Manuscript: An Elegant Enigma
In the upper right corner  there is another alchemical symbol:

However the symbol could be interpreted as vitriol, soap stone , iron sulphate or any other compound/process that the aurhor had had in mind.

I think that a theme in this blog named "Alchemy/Pharmacy" may be created, where this material and  some valuable conclusions could be gathered.
(There are further observations of mine about the alchemical character of other foils, but since there is no place to post them- no use to be lost in the nowhere.)

Note also the two suns in the other two corners- which may represent :
 A. Gold
 B. Thermal process
