otedal = rainbow

I can't submit images, sorry.
Probably it does.  If this is part of a decipherment, definitely.

To add an image, the only way I know how to is hit the Preview button when replying, then scroll down and you will see a "Click or drop some files here to upload" thing has appeared.
How can I move this to Theories and Solutions, or can only moderators do that?

Moderators. But you need to build a theory or a solution first.
Oh no, free-floating solution bits. Kind of like space debris.

Floating Voynich Words right next to a Rainbow, I am normally very critical of theories but this feels plausible.

This is interesting, yes. There was an old post by MarcoP about these labels too.

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. has the interesting feature of presenting similar labels for similar illustrations: these are the labels near the rainbows.
  • otedal (top right)
  • otedy (top left) is also similar but not associated with a rainbow
  • okedor (the only one I could match with a word on the recto)
  • otedol
  • oteedy

I doubt these labels can be different spellings for the same word: it seems strange to me that the same word and the same object are repeated several times in the same page. I think it more likely that both the rainbows and the words correspond to different but closely related concepts.

Probably belongs in a thread about cribs.

The words oted(a/o)l, otedy, and okedor could be different cases for the same word "rainbow". I think that could work, but again, not without evidence.
What is the relevant evidence?
