Hello, I'm sorry for my poor English; it's not my native language. I'm using Google Translate for this post.

My name is Cuervo, I want to tell you a little anecdote. A very close friend of mine from engineering school. He's smarter than me, and as a narcissist, it pains me to admit it. That's why for years I always challenged him to do intellectual competitions, like solving riddles or complex problems. He always beat me.

One day I decided to find an impossible riddle, and I found this one, the Voynich manuscript. I know many people have been working on this for centuries. I told myself it would be a good joke to get him into this intellectual bind.

One day I was at his house and I simply showed him the digitized manuscript, a few pages, and briefly told him what it was about. It was the first time I saw him put on a serious or worried face; nothing he saw made any sense. I thought at that moment, "I've got him!"But then he smiled somewhat worriedly and asked me to give him the name of the riddle, which he would then look at in more depth.

Weeks went by without seeing him at school. He didn't answer his cell phone or the doorbell at home. I was worried about him. One day he just sent me a message on my cell phone, saying "escucha tonto... Deja de tocar el timbre de mi casa, me duele la cabeza" And then he shared with me a some text clippings from different pages from the "botanical sector with chimera plants."I want to share with you some excerpts from texts from different folios that he said were the most reliable. And I sincerely ask you to debunk this guy. I'm not going to give him any more victories. Please help.

f8r: Shor chor qokchy daiin otchy qokchor chor daiin => Apply heat to the flower, mix with the leaves, boil the seed, and then boil the leaves again along with the root.

f16r: pocheody qopchey sykaiin opchy dor ychy daiin dy chor orom ychykchy otly => Combine seed and stem with heat, work on leaves and flowers, add root and stem to the extract.

He also clarified to me that you don't have connectors or a structure like the one we know from the Voynich manuscript.Words are capsules composed of information and processes. He said something like prefix + root + suffix. But the truth is, I don't understand any of that, so I'm asking for your help. He also adds structure and connectors to the texts he translates so that they are easy to understand and read fluently.

(I'm posting this in "Theories and Solutions" because I have a theory that he didn't solve anything... haha)
Hi,

I don't think there is a need to debunk anything here, because nothing has been shown yet. Anyone can say that "bla blab la lab labl ab" means "mix with salt and leave to cool down". Validating a deciphering attempt requires much more data than this.

But overall this doesn't look much different from dozens of similar "solutions", that you can find in the following thread: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view.
Thank you very much for the help, I think that information is more than enough.I want to clarify that parts of my original post are "fictional" but the main idea is the same.I have a friend who thinks he has solved the Voynich mystery and I don't believe him.

He also said something about the botany section at the beginning of the manuscript, but I didn't give it much importance. The plants he describes are called "chimera plants" and they function as a mnemonic trick to quickly remember what is being prepared. That the plants are symbolic, a set of parts of different plants that will include the final recipe. It also talks about how the first two words of each paragraph in the botanical section talk about the recipe that is going to be prepared. That's why those words hardly appear in other parts of the manuscript. And that is how he was able to deduce the rest of the text, at least in the botany section, because the words that appear are also seen as "chimera words", A compound of different processes, plant parts and alchemical procedures. He also added that the language is useless in other areas, as it was specifically created to pack a lot of alchemical information into short words.

Finally, he said there are different scribes in the manuscript: one from Italy, another French, one German, and others he couldn't recognize. He jokingly called them "chimera scribes."He also added that the Italian likes to draw, the Frenchman likes astrology, and the German likes to write, although the latter didn't write everything.

All of this is a summary of a PDF he sent me with the explanation of each section and the translation method for each word.Although he also clarifies that words make sense with context, words alone are semantic chaos.

My personal opinion is that my friend has a lot of free time and a great imagination, but everything he wrote in that PDF is false. Thanks for the help, everyone!

Edit: I thought it was important to clarify about several scribes from different kingdoms. I told my friend that it sounds like the joke "an Italian, a Frenchman and a German walk into a bar", and they wouldn't understand each other. He told me I was a fool to think that. He said the German had an idea and a nobleman promoted the project, bringing together those different people. He added that they understood each other in Latin.
If we are talking about fiction, this sounds a bit boring tbh. How about one of the authors was a Vietnamese Buddhist monk and another was a bee, and there was a third one, a being of pure energy, whose presence would not be revealed to the reader up until the last chapter, but would manifest itself through curious happenings and unlikely coincidences.
I don't know what you're referring to exactly, but I appreciate you taking the time to reply and send me the link to the threads.

I don't want to bother the people on this forum any longer with my doubts, I appreciate your patience towards me.
You can always ask questions, but it's like people say, we do need some more information about how the system is supposed to work.
I appreciate the invitation to ask. And as for my friend's system, I don't think I'll give it more visibility, because I have the same level of skepticism as you do when it comes to what he says.I think it was resolved with Oshfdk's first answer.

I would like to be able to share my hypotheses or theories, and I am also open to helping anyone who needs it with their projects. I don't know whether to use this thread to post my progress or create another one. I'd appreciate some suggestions.
If you want to discuss your theory/theories, feel free to make a thread about it and discuss it there.
