Job suffers from a number of limitations.
First, it does not include the Rosettes folio and, I believe, a couple of farmaceutical folios. This affects the reported frequency counts. Don't know if it's possible to add those folios, and why they are absent.
Second, some vords are rendered incorrectly, which affects frequency counts. In some places the readings are ambiguous, but in some places a typo is certain. In the past, I have been silently accounting for the ambigous and incorrect VQP readings for my personal research purposes. It occured to me now, that it would be better to report incorrect renderings, so that they might be corrected. I will do so from now on, on a case-by-case basis.
***
f75r1: the beginning should be
kchedykary, not
kchedy.kary. No space discernable.
f76r: the first vord should be
potchokor.
f80v: the first vord should be
pchedy.
f84r: the first vord should be
kol.
f95r1: the last vord should be
chckal.
f105r: the first vord of the second paragraph should be
par.
I decided not to alter the existing EVA transcription, mostly for consistency. I have a separate transcription tool for submitting corrections, but it's not ready.
The Rosettes folios are the only ones missing. There are several other folios that don't fit in the assigned viewport area, so they're not completely visible, but their respective transcriptions are fully covered.
Those folios are:
f68r3, f68v3, f70r2, f70v2, f72r3, f72v3, f89r2, f89v2, f101r1, f101v2
I would like to address these items in a future version.
Hi Job,
Thx for the clarifications. It's good that the folios that don't fit are still counted in the stats.

That's what I was about to propose

OK, understood. I will continue to post discrepancies that I find - better to record them somewhere that not to record. Maybe this might be of use in the future.
Hi Job, I think it could be useful to have in voynichese.com a wildcard character matching exactly one character (a single occurrence of any character). So daXn would match 'dain' and would not match 'daiin' nor 'daain'.
It would also be nice to have a different wildcard matching the empty string as well (* matches 1 or more characters, I would like to be able to match 0 or more characters).
daYn would match dan, dain, daiin, etc (da*n does not match dan).
The tool is very useful as it is, but from time to time I find myself trying to work around the way '*' works. These additional wildcards would just be nice to have, nothing essential.
I've noticed the same limitations, for instance the word near the leaf on You are not allowed to view links.

Login to view. is not coded for, you can't highlight it. When those problems happen I just type it in, but those missing words or misspellings won't show up in the results of such a search.
Also, I just clicked on that link to You are not allowed to view links.

Yes, images on jasondavies.com do not seem to be working. I just wrote to Jason pointing out the problem.

Jason has been super-efficient and the problem is fixed!
voynichese.com is without doubt excellent; probably one of the most impressive achievements in Voynich research and a lot of work. I am still learning how to best use this tool, so there may well be a way of doing certain things that I have missed.
Like most things in this world there is scope for improvement. Now is there scope for us to do some work to enhance it?
There are a few weaknesses that I have found.
1) It doesn't include the 9 Rosette page in any form, probably as it is problematically large. However it could be treated as 6 separate pages even though it is not the ideal representation.
2) I find the images of the pages not of the same resolution as we find in the high resolution scans. So it would be nice if there was some way in which there could the possibility of using the high resolution images for the pages. I can appreciate that increased image size could be seen as problematic.
3) It would be nice if there was a way of showing the whole list of matches not just the first 3 or a clearer way of highlighting the pages with matches.
Now some of these may already be possible and I haven't worked out how to do them.
I am not saying anyone should make these changes, just wondering what the scope for enhancing this tool and also curious if there are other enhancements that other people think would be very useful.
I believe the person responsible for this excellent website is a guy called Job, but I don't know if he is involved in Voynich research any more.
Moved to Voynich Talk.
Job has been a member of our forum, though long not seen.
We may have already had a thread for discussion of his Voynich Query Processor, although I may be mistaken.
The Rosettes are not included since they are absent in the Takahashi transcription
OK, I found the original thread and merged Mark's new thread into 't.
Yes I had noticed that there were some issues with the transcription. I would be very happy to produce a transcription of the Rosettes page as I think I know it better than anyone and that would create an excuse to know it even better still. I could then pass it on to someone else to see if they were happy with it.
It would be nice to add this page/6 pages.
