I think your calligraphy is perfectly fine. My attempts with a Rotring ( wide nib ) don't look as accurate.

Yeah, this is one of the scenarios (together with "it's nonsense") where we would never be able to solve the thing, we would forever remain uncertain.
What neither of the above would explain though, is why Voynichese is as it is. Why does the glyph set consist of numerals, ligatures, abbreviation symbols and the like? Why the "curve-line" situation? The fact that the system is so peculiar but consistent (with some drift across scribes) seems to suggest that there is some system doing something. If one were to just make up words for a wordlist, the result might look a lot more like Hildegard's You are not allowed to view links.

Login to view.. The use of a codebook makes the use of the weird system (positional rigidity etc) and the use of a weird script superfluous.
That doesn't prove anything of course. But to me it feels like the script and the "system" work together to accomplish some goal, whatever that may be.
