I would be interested, and also able to transcribe some pages. Right now I don't have a ton of spare time, but even at a rate of a few pages a day, it will get done eventually. Maybe it is interesting to work in a Google drive doc? Like that all participants can see what's been done already, and they can use notes to signal problematic words etc.
That's a great idea! I'd be happy to image the remaining notebooks in their entirety the next time I am at the Beinecke (not sure when that will be).

One way to do this would be to set up a transcription project using FromThePage, a resource specifically designed for uploading images for crowd-sourced transcriptions:

Anyone who wants to do something like this is welcome to use my images.
Even though as a fresh retiree I could be expected to have lots of spare time, reality is different, so unfortunately I will not be able to participate in this.

Is that supposed to be a sketch of a Voynich page? Because I don't see any pages that match very well.

No, I think this is a sketch of a plant that is supposed to be similar to a plant in the VMS. If the caption in the header in the notebook is supposed to name the plant in the VMS, then a comparison would be made here between Solago and You are not allowed to view links. Koen and myself just finished working on Ethel's notes from Lisa's photographs.
Here is You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view..

We tried to remain close to the original, only expanding abbreviations (when possible) and adding links to some of the many references. Our notes are in [[double brackets]].
This is wonderful, Marco! What a fantastic resource. Thank you for taking this on! The next time I am at Yale (hopefully sometime in the coming months), I'll be sure to finish imaging Notebook 2 so it can be transcribed as well.
Aren't there more than two notebooks? Big Grin

I think there should be five (see box 408G), but not all of them may be about plant identification.
The other ones might be interesting too, but judging from the description it seems like they are all about plants. We'd have to wait and see though.
