Is it digitized? ONB currently does not work for me.

Most importantly, does it also lean heavily on the pairing of Zodiac signs and Biblical scenes?
I also only get as far as You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. and then the "Online Zugriff" link should bring up the digital manuscript. But it does not.

edit: The link to the search also loads only sometimes. Somehow it hangs at ÖNB.
Hoping to find better dating than 14xx, but sometimes, that's all you get.
I might have a link for  Cod. Ser. nova 2652 , Koen. Give me a few moments and I'll check...

Okay, here are thumbnails on Wikimedia: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view.

I have spotty results with ÖNB, sometimes a manuscript will be there and then it will be gone when I go back to it. Or the whole manuscript will be there and only 3 folios will be available when I go back to it. But the above link has lots of folios.

Addition: Also, some catalog notes You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view.
And Google books has a for-pay book, but you can see a few of the images with captions: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view.

If you mean Cod. Ser. nova 2652, just a guess, but it may be sometime around the third quarter. I can't guess closer because there's no exact location. Some places adapted the new styles of writing sooner than others.
The Zodiac series in this MS is much more conventional. I wonder if the large focus on kind-of-related Biblical scenes is unique to Ms. germ. fol. 642.

R. Sale, Helmut linked to a resource that says 3rd quarter; it was in German so you may have missed it.

I'll split this thread.
Yes, I missed it, I haven't had time to read all the posts or click on all the links. I'm woefully behind (272 unread posts and many more that I glanced at, planned to come back to read properly and... sigh, lost track of).

I based my guess on the handwriting, so it's heartening to know it was in the right ballpark.
You need a long vacation JKP Smile
Trying to find out the biblical scenes:

Pisces: Jonah
Virgo: something with the Virgin Mary? You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view.

The rest is missing or damaged.
From one of astrological sites:
Quote:Pisces Rules the Feet.
Each sign has internal, external and structural rulerships. Internally, Pisces rules the lymphatic system, synovial fluids and functions of the glands in general. Externally, it rules the feet and toes, and structurally the bones of the feet.

Perhaps the astrological rulership over human feet by the zodiac sign of Pisces became the artist's association with the image of Jonah standing with his feet in the jaws of a whale.
