I have a reasonable working knowledge of modern pigments, but modern pigments are almost always pre-mixed and I've only done a small amount of creation-from-scratch. I've worked with natural dyes made from vegetable matters, but I have never studied medieval pigments. I've read a few (only a few) articles about them, so I suppose I'm not completely in the dark, but I really have only a cursory understanding of how they made and used pigments in the Middle Ages. I appreciate you sharing this detailed information. It's very interesting.
