There's a plant I've never been able to make any sense of. Not even a tentative ID.

It's plant You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. , and it's one that looks like it is trying to tell (or hide) a story.

Any thoughts on this one?
The flower looks like an obvious reference to a crown - or is that just me?

As for the root, believe it or not but I've considered making a similar thread asking for help. This is not naturalistic, and something is going on. But try as I might, I can't find a satisfactory solution.

There are one or two roots that look very similar. But I'm not sure if including these will help or distract...
I don't know about the rest of it, but the flowers look clearly like an ecclesiastical crown. See, ie, You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view.. (Can't find a photo to post here at the moment, sorry).
Why not royal? AFAIK, most Royal crowns were circlets at the time. It was the high ecclesiastical crowns that were "hats" were covered tops and a top decoration. Some Royal houses did have Coronation crowns, which covered the head with a peak, but they were highly decorative with jewels, AFAIK.
You can clearly see in the VM three (can't think of the word . the spiky bits) with a fourth repeated at the top. The little  lines may depict fabric, or they may depict a halo.
Tucker and Janick say "Anemone patens", but I have serious doubts Wink Maybe "Pulsatilla patens" would be an option.

My first thought is that there is an obvious 'Zahlendreher'
"revered digits"? As in numbers backwards? Huh
In the thread subject.
Oops, thank you, Helmut, I fixed it.

I had been looking at 25r just before looking at this one.
Always reminded me of a baby Groot.  Wink
If you count the leaves under the crown, 4, 6, 4, apply Hebrew letters (I know no one likes it, but bare with me)
Daleth + Vav + Daleth is the name for David, King David.
Daleth + Vav + Daleth + Yod, is also the Hebrew name for Mandrake
A commentary on the East-west schism, perhaps?
