That was a fascinating read!

I felt sorry for poor old Wifred being the subject of false accusations generated by an ACTUAL spy.
Whatever else may be said, he appears to have been proud of his British citizenship and worked for the Allies in WW1.
No doubt he was very glad to be well away from the war zone.

The paranoia of the FBI and the so called American Protection League even 2 years AFTER the War was amazing.

I for one am grateful that he rescued so many manuscripts from possible destruction in this or later conflicts.
